This is a referred opportunity that should only be signed up for if preapproved by the volunteer coordinator. Volunteers will provide help at the pantry on a temporary basis when needed. Volunteers may be stocking shelves, sorting food, spring cleaning or helping to beautify the pantry.

Stocking shelves at a food pantry is perhaps one of the happiest volunteer opportunities we have, because it means abundance. Volunteers are needed especially on Wednesdays, both in the morning and the afternoon. But we receive a grocery delivery every afternoon that must be weighed and put away, so the opportunities for this happy task abound!

Weekday, and Weekend opportunities are available with flexible hours. Use of CCDA vehicles requires driver record check, but no special license. Food Pantry Distribution Support
Help us help those with food insecurities by working in our self select food pantry. Help our families make food pantry selections, help stock our pantry shelves and help keep our shelves organized. You will love the people you work with and those you have the privilege to serve. The pantry is open Monday through Thursday from 9:30am until 2:30pm and the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month from 9:30am until 12:00pm. We are presently in need of volunteers on Monday and Tuesday afternoons from 12pm-3pm.

Farm Gleaners (picking vegetables)
Gleaning is the traditional biblical practice of gathering crops that would otherwise be left in the fields to rot, or be plowed under after harvest. Gleaners are people of all ages who want to give of themselves to help feed the hungry. Thousands of pounds of food produce are salvaged each year and provided to our parntering pantries so that clients may receive fresh, local healthy produce at no cost to them.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton - Unloading of Produce
Lend a hand at the St. Lucy Project Warehouse unloading freshly picked produce by your fellow parishoners. Produce needs to be taken off the truck, separated and placed into refridgeration.
