Spirit of Volunteerism

Catholic Charities is the arm of the Church tasked with implementing the Gospel message. As the Church is comprised of a community of people; so is Catholic Charities. Catholic Charities recognizes that the complete involvement of the community is essential in effectively implementing the Church's mission to serve the most vulnerable in ways that strengthen individuals, families, and communities. Catholic Charities actively encourages meaningful volunteer participation within all programs and activities. The many talents, skills, knowledge, energy, creativity, and dedication of volunteers make it possible for Catholic Charities to offer enhanced services and extend its reach to those in need. Each year, more than 1,000 people offer their time and talent to serve the poor through Catholic Charities.
